For the first time ever a low cost selcall solution is available on the "no hassle" PMR 446 licence free service.
5-tone selcall standard features and function include, emergency call - via red side button, lone worker and man down (needs seperate module).
The RL308P has upto 256 channels in 16 banks of 16 channels, all of which can be pre-programmed using the standard 8 PMR 446 channels with 256 seperate ctcss or dcs codes - so you know you will find a channel with a privacy code suitable for you.
Complete compatibility, Each bank of 16 channels in the RL308P-PRO is programmed to be fully compatible with the out of factory programming of professional PMR 446 radios from ALL of the main manufacturers.
The RL308P-PRO has a full compliment of features and functions normally only found on top end professional licenced hand portables. These features include but are not limited to Scan, Priority Scan, Dual Scan, whisper and compander for louder clearer communications, dtmf encode, 16 point scrambler, TOT, TOTP, BTLO, BCLO, BTCLO, 256 channels in 16 groups of 16 channels, CTCSS, DCS, 5-tone selective calling for one to one communication. Important note:- Due to the unlicenced nature of the PMR446 service it is the case that blocking or interference of one (or all) of the eight PMR frequencies/channels is possible, thus users should take reasonable care to ensure that blocking of a PMR446 frequency does not block the emergency signal (via 5-tone selcall).
